Tips for your Guests

The biggest impact on a wedding will be the guests, give them some of these tips to make their influence a good one!
This is a running list of pieces of advice for wedding guests. For regular updates, follow me on Instagram at @realjackfarmer

How To Get Your Requests Played
1. Just be friendly! You'll be surprised how far that gets you!

2. If the DJ isn't looking at you, it's not because they're ignoring you. It's because they're in the middle of a mix and need to concentrate. If you give them a few moments, they'll finish what they're doing and be happy to listen to your request.

3. Get your request in early. The earlier you get your request in, the more likely the DJ will be able to find a spot it naturally fits in with the rest of the night.

How To Give A Toast

1. Be confident coming up to the microphone. Remember that everyone wants to see you crush it!

2. Keep drinking before hand to a minimum. Drunk toasts are rarely received well, and the sober ones are usually the ones that come off great, look amazing in pictures and become something the newlyweds remember forever.

3. Photographers and Videographers will typically stage a location to get the best pictures and video of your toast. The DJ will hand you the mic in this spot. It can be tempting to wander or move somewhere else, but try to stay where the DJ hands you the mic.

4. If you want to give a toast, get approval from the couple at least a month before the wedding. Once the wedding has started, the timeline will be set and it will be too late to be added to the list of speakers.

How To Have Fun Once The Formalities Are Done
1. Whether you like to dance, have a drink, or throw your hands in the air, do it together and do it on the dancefloor!

2. Motion creates emotion! Even if you're not immediately in the mood to dance, just get on the dance floor. You'll be surprised at how many people follow you and how quickly it turns into an amazing night!

3. If you want to be in the best pictures, go all out on the dance floor.
